How to Install an Emblem on Your Car or Truck

Custom vehicle emblems are used to show the model, make, or any car's special features.  They are also used to identify the dealership or the company that sold the vehicle. There are various reasons why you may want to replace the emblem.

Reasons why you may want to replace emblem include: the emblem got old or the carwash attendant tore them off.  Whatever the reason for replacement, there are always a few steps to follow when putting the custom chrome emblem

You need to have the following items before starting to put the emblem.

  • ·       Painter Tape
  • ·        A bubble levels
  • ·        Emblem adhesive remover
  • ·        A new emblem
  • ·        A clean lint-free towel
  • ·        Emblem adhesive

Step 1:- Remove the old custom car badge first using a heat gun. The heat gun melts the adhesive present in the old emblem, making it easy for you to pull it off. Ensure you don't leave the heat gun lying on the paint for too long, you may damage the paint.

Step 2: After you have removed the old emblem, some adhesive will be left on the vehicle's paint. You need to have emblem adhesive remover, which is mainly found on various auto part stores.

Step 3Clean the area where you plan to put your new car emblem using alcohol. This is meant to remove the old wax or other things that are likely to make the custom chrome emblem not to stick on the surface.

Step 4If you will be sticking the emblem in a place that needs to be leveling, use the bubble level to mark the area.

Step 5: Most emblems are sold with emblem adhesive. However, if this is not the case, you will need to buy one.  You can always shop emblem adhesives at the nearest auto parts store. When buying adhesive remover, also shop for emblem adhesive.  Emblem adhesive is made explicitly to bond painted metal with plastic.

Step 6This step involves attaching the emblem.  If your emblem has adhesive attached to it. You only need to peel and stick the emblem. However, ensure to stick it on the level line you had earlier marked using a painter's tape.  However, if your emblem doesn’t have adhesive on it, put little emblem adhesive on its edges where it will bond with the painted surface.

Step 7: Stick and hold your custom vehicle emblems or emblem until the adhesive has dried up. In most cases, it only takes  two minutes

Step 8This happens to be the last step on installing an emblem on your car or truck; you only need to remove the painter's tape and clean the area near the emblem.

Most vehicles come with custom car badges from manufactures. The badges are either placed at the front, back, or at the center of the car.  Overtimes the emblems become loose and they are often a target for thieves. We offer emblem replacement and we can also customize your car badge.

How Do Embossed Nameplates Boost Customer Service For Big Machines And Equipment?

The demand for industrial machinery and equipment marking has seen a spike amongst producers worldwide. The biggest reason behind this is because industrial establishments want to see every asset as part of a unique, traceable brand distinguishable in the eyes of everyone.

What Is An Embossed Nameplate?

Embossed nameplates refer to those that assimilate a design raised outwards. Their production involves heat and special embossing machines which comprise of a combination of male and female die sets.
Needless to say, embossing is the most effective marking method when it comes to big machines and equipment. It is simple and amazingly fast compared to other marking methods and does not need any special tools such as clamping equipment which would be fairly difficult to use in this case.

How Do Embossed Labels Boost Customer Service For Big Machines And Equipment?

  • Ideal for boosting the brand’s familiarity and recognition

When you want the masses to easily recognize, remember and identify with your brand, using embossed nameplates on your big machines and equipment will actually help a lot. Since this chrome plating solution has a unique raised design, it not only reminds the audience of your brand, but they also remember how the nameplate felt in case they have touched it before, providing for a sensory recall of your nameplate, and not just a visual one. Brand owners across industries have taken advantage of custom metal plates to appeal to the masses this way.

  • Asset identification

Custom metal plates are the most preferred asset identification solution. This is because the raised characters are visible from far thus saving time and effort during production.

  • Better than engraved & flat plates

Embossed labels are more memorable than engraved and flat plates. This is because the raised design gives them more depth and dimension. When placed alongside nameplates with the same print but are engraved or flat, you will take notice of the embossed plate more because of their sophisticated 3-dimensional look that further allows for variable characters.

  • Color options

One of the features that set embossed nameplates apart is the ability to incorporate color inside the structure of the characters. If you need a red or blue octagonal nameplate that says “no unauthorized personnel”, a colored custom metal nameplate is usually the best option.

  • Little or no wear on big machines and equipment

Embossing is a “non-contact” machine and equipment marking method. It creates a crisp raised permanent mark meaning that there’s little or no damage to the surface of machines and equipment.

  • Durability

Embossed nameplates are one of the most durable equipment tagging solutions on the market. Experts in the industry rate embossed nameplates to remain good as new for 50+ years. And that includes holding up to some of the most extreme working environments.

  • Best for outdoor applications

Embossed nameplates are capable of withstanding the harshest weather conditions. Come rain, wind, or snow; your embossed nameplates will remain uncompromised both in terms of color and design. This way, your nameplate will remain effective in drawing the attention of the passersby for years to come.

Conclusion

You may not have considered this in the past, but if you are thinking of having tags made for your big machines and equipment, you should consider embossed nameplates. As already mentioned, embossed nameplates are a great idea for industrial branding because they are catchy, rather durable, and highly customizable when compared to other marking solutions.
